The 2024 Christmas Village is has expanded and offers a whole new festive journey for activities for young and old. It’s the ultimate holiday experience with many sections to explore and be filled with the holiday spirit. Photos are encouraged and can be shared using #ChristmasVillage2024.
Tunnel
of Lights
You’ll be welcomed by our famous Tunnel of Lights, with a galaxy of twinkling bulbs transporting you to a different time and space. As you float through 24 km of lights, the wash of colours will prepare you for a new adventure.
North
Pole
The North Pole is where Santa calls home and prepares all year long to spread joy and hope. Explore this frozen wonderland complete with reindeer and our latest addition, the polar bear family. Look out for the penguins and get ready to meet Paul the Polar bear in person.
Forrest
Of Fables
Get sucked into a land of colour, light and fantasy in the Forrest of Fables. Keep your eyes peeled for fairies, gnomes and giant mushrooms between the forest trees which part to reveal giant story book and ethereal Fairy Queen waiting to grant your wish.
Santa’s
Village
Our Village Square has moved to the final leg of the Christmas Village. We’ve expanded to 91 festive vendors in a new, exciting layout full of old favourites and many new stalls offering the finest in holiday gifts, snacks and drinks. Wander the whimsical streets, all decked out in lights and explore quaint stalls and street cafes that will make you feel you’re truly on holiday.
Garden
of Lights
You’ll be welcomed by our famInspired by the classic Emperors Palace attraction, the new Garden of Light is a fluorescent wonderland of light and music. Wander a landscape of beauty and characters that oozes Christmas vibes. This is the lightshow you’ve been waiting for.
Tom Bola’s
Funfair Alley
This new attraction is something like never before. Inspired by carnivals and funfair, the Funfair Alley will entertain with challenges and games to test your skills. The pinnacle is the Money Shower, where those nimble enough will win prizes on offer.
Stone
Town Stalls
Our Stone Town Stalls are the final leg of the Christmas Village. With 90 festive vendors in an exciting layout, you can amble and browse of old favourites and new stalls offering the finest in holiday gifts, snacks and drinks. In the centre, you’ll find Santa Clause ready for photos and to hear what you want this Christmas. It’s the perfect way to end the day.

Yes! We anticipate slots to sell out very quickly, so to avoid disappointment we strongly suggest that guests pre-book their tickets online.
The Christmas Village is on the top Level (Level 5) of the undercover Parking Garage at Emperors Palace.
Yes, covered parking is the easiest. On weekends we recommend you to arrive early as the complex will be very busy.
Entrance into Emperors Palace is R10 per car and free for Winners Circle members

The Christmas Village is in a covered venue, so rain or shine, the show goes on.
We have generators so loadshedding should not interfere with the magic of the Christmas Village. However, in the unforeseen circumstance of technical difficulties or a breakdown, the Christmas Village will close. A SMS will be sent out to all guests who have pre-booked with details to rebook their tickets for another night.
In the event of power being restored the event will commence.
No, tickets for the Christmas Village are not refundable. However, slots can be changed to another night should the Christmas Village session be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances
Yes, the Christmas Village hosts a variety of vendors selling street food on the go.
No, the Funfair is not at Emperors Palace this year.
The Christmas Village is fully wheelchair friendly. We urge guests with mobility issues to bring their own wheelchairs as the Christmas Village is large with lots to see!
The Christmas Village is a bigger and better experience than previous events, and to control the excessive amount of people standing in queues and give guests a better experience, a minimal fee is required.
